Synchronization problems - todzilla, the datamaster may not ''see'' the adat because adats don't ''talk back'' to the master unit. this is one of the problems alesis had with the adat system. the machines didn't send any info back to the brc, so the br If you are using the adat as the master the 9 pin should be connected to the sync out plug. Dats - a studio i work with has a pair of alesis 24's. they love them, been falwless and is the only way to go over adat with outboard compatability, analog desk. i see adats going for 65 bucks each these days. a 4some of ht's went on ebay with a brc I have limited experience with it and the mackie unit. both seem quite decent for what they are....
