I have just bought a basic fault code reader, which should do the job if only i could find out where to plug the thing in.
it is for a citroen xm two litre petrol turbo - 1995 mark 2.

this recent xm i bought has a few quirks, and like all xm owners i can endless weekends of trying to get to the bottom of them all.

I have this problem with diesel drain back. I have changed fuel filter assembly and replaced split hose and clips. Hello folks,
the adjust facility on the nearside door mirror (passenger side - ''reverse-adjust'' thingie) has packed up.
the 4-way tilt switch works fine when selected for the other side, hence, i surmise that the switch is ok.

Several times in the last few days there has been a buzzing noise when i turn on the ignition. Is it anything to worry about ?

I have an xm 2.1 td auto. The gearbox has been rebuilt and repaired 3 times in a year including a new torque converter and now its slipping with intermittent drive again.I have had enough and am thinking of changing... Its a 2.1 td with a/c and they wont switch off, been told its the bitron unit, but were is the bloody thing? behind the dash or in the engine bay?
