We've talked about the dbx 286a before, but i can't recall having one in studio.
on todays show, we put the 286a 'on the air' so you can decide.

just got two things i'm ready to put into action for vo work....
the dbx 286a and a dell vostro pc running xp.

Recording male speaking voice. I'm using dbx 286a with garageband or with audacity (mac editing programs). With garageband the wave form, as i record, is symmetrical above and below the horizontal midline. When i stop the recording, the wave form... I have had very bad experiences with the platinum series from focusrite.
