Buzz ma2.2 or dbx 786 for grand piano/overheads etc? - i think they are in the same catagory and i would not hesitate to use either. if i had both i'd try both and decide. if not i'd likely pick the dbx 786 as i have used one several times and thought it

Several come to mind...I personally like the true systems p2 analog for piano,mandolin,acoustic guitar,acoustic bass, banjo, basically all things acoustic. It is not colored,it has tremendous depth to its sound,has enough gain for ribbon mics and has a nifty m/s...

Dbx 786, isa 428, amek pure path. i need help. - the dbx 786 holds up well to the focusrite red. the 786 is a little more clean and articulant and is in the fast category. the red is bit more mellow and musical and is in the slower category. i really lik

Dbx 786, isa 428, amek pure path. i need help. - don't confuse the dbx blue series 786 and 160sl with all the rest of the current crap that bears the dbx logo. the other exception is the purple 162sl. i much prefer the focusrite red sound over the newer
