Fireface rme or presonus firepod? - without a doubt rme fireface 800!!! (actually it costs 2 times more than the firepod...) While i don't have any comparison between the two i can tell you that the converters in the fireface work satisfactoryly for me and the features of that device overall come in very handy. Rme fireface problem - background: i had a digi 002r which i used to plug my monitors in the back of using a 1/4'' jack which ran fine on my pc. i sold the digi 002r and bought a rme fireface 800 to use with cubase sx2. now ive installed my rme bu Just pick a 1/4 outputs on the back and route it using totalmix or matrix, its kinda of odd them not having a dedicated monitor volume knob either.... Rme fireface - where does the motu-pc problem come from? i've set up plenty of systems using 88, 828ii and 896 on both pc and mac - honestly, i've had more problems interfacing the units with with some ''hi-end'' digital mixers (which have been tracked b I own the fireface 800, and it really kicks butt, no problems so far after 2 months, the only slight issue i have with it is the mic pres don't have a lot of gain. the sound it produces... Rme fire face, digi 002, motu 828 mkii - have a look at the rme stuff like the fireface 800. i hear its a killer. anyway just another suggestion to confuse you even more. hehee :lol: I'll comment on the 828 mkii as i own that one. its very versatil, very reliable and does the job. the ad and the mic pres are decent though not spectacular. it has besides the 2 built in pres,... Fireface cubase multitrack - hi guys im trying to record at least 12 mics at a time into my rme fireface 800 through cubase. now i have routed my mics through totalmix and matrix but im getting no sound through playback. the meters are working in my f You have to assign the outputs in cubase. Though it should only come out of 2 channels if your mixing in the box, if your using an outboard mixer you would want to assign each track to its own output...
