Rode nt4 condensor? - fair enough,cucco.i guess that i took the term ''cheap''in the wrong way. i apologise for the error. and after last night, i kind of wish that i had an sm81 for my own guitar recording.... :(

Rode nt4 condensor? - i guess it's a matter of different strokes for different folks. i personally would use the nt4s on acoustic instruments long before i'd use the sm81. imo, the 81 is brittle, bright and brash. i also don't think nathan's remark

Rode nt4 condensor? - i realize that you didn't ask me, but the sm81 is probably a better mic for acoustic guitar, and a single-point source is much easier to deal with than dealing with stereo mic'ing, especially in less-than-ideal environments. you migh

Sp 404 and micing stereo samples

If i plug in a single mic that is stereo, and is set up with two seperate recievers in one microphone in an xy formation( like a rode nt4) will i then be able to make stereo samples or...

Re: rode nt4 or nt 5 - i looked over the nt5 closely, then went with the studio projects c4 instead. nothing against the nt5, but the c4 offer omni capsules (as do the octava) which increases their usefulness considerably. the c4 also come with shock
