In a discussion on another forum (or perhaps it's a blog), someone said that the sigma dp1 will have an f/4 lens, which is not ''bright''. i don't understand that term. can someone explain it?

I've had it six months now but i have only taken 128 pictures with it as i prefer to use my dslr instead, so its as new condition and still has six months warranty.
